Applications for a City of Hendersonville business license may be made Monday through Friday from 8 am until 4:30 pm at City Hall in Hendersonville.
The business license application fee is $15 Payable to the City of Hendersonville.
Prior to the issuance of the business license, the Planning Department must approve the application. The business may be required to obtain a Use and Occupancy Permit. The Planning Department may be contacted at 615-264-5316 regarding the necessary permit.
The business must also apply for a Sumner County business license. The County business license application may be downloaded from the Sumner County website.
The business license must be renewed every year and a tax is paid based on the gross receipts earned during the tax period.
All tax due on businesses will be filed directly with and payment made to the State of Tennessee Department of Revenue.
